Mid Ocean Golf Course

Mid Ocean Golf Club located just outside Tuckers Town on the North-Eastern tip of the island. The golf course originally opened in 1921 to Charles Blair Macdonald design and was updated and upgraded by Robert Trent Jones in the 1950s. This 18 hole Championship golf course measures just under 6500 yards from the back tee and runs parallel to the Atlantic Ocean, which in itself is a fantastic backdrop.

In 1951, the Mid Ocean Club was established as a private members’ club. Based in Bermuda’s picturesque town of Tucker, it provides unrivaled services for a large international group of Members and their guests. A real home away from home, guests from the world ‘s four corners are drawn back to its peaceful rolling greens, exclusive beaches, and the Clubhouse’s welcoming embrace.

Overlooking the 18th fairway, the clubhouse contains a central dining area, a restaurant, two small meeting areas, locker rooms for men and ladies, and a golf shop. The Clubhouse is a comfortable and friendly spot where Members gather on the greens after idyllic days to enjoy a tasty lunch with the world’s golfing stories.

The most memorable holes on the golf course have to be the eclectic set of fabulous par threes.

The par-threes quartet with the Eden (3rd), Short (7th), Biarritz (13th), and Redan (17th) ranks among the golfing best. Jones also added length to the Short, so that today’s short iron probably matches the same clubs that were used in Macdonald’s day. The Eden plays right to the bottom of the ocean cliffs. If you’ve ever played other Macdonald courses, you’ll know the Biarritz instinctively, but the Club has only kept the back half as the putting surface, maybe for upkeep purposes or maybe for fear of a shorter overall yarding. There are very few finer examples of a Redan than that of Mid Ocean. This ranks among the greatest you’ll possibly ever enjoy with its majestic views and shadows cast by a sinking sun.
