Cancun Golf Club

The Cancun Club at Pok-Ta-Pok is located between the Nichupte Lagoona and the Caribbean Sea, built-in 1976 it is the oldest and most prestigious golf club in Cancun. Another golf course from the Robert Trent Jones Jr. portfolio Pok-Ta-Pok clever use of the natural terrain along hundreds of yards of shoreline and even some ancient Mayan ruins which stand as a 1,000-year-old natural sandstone hazard. A great test of golf for golfers of abilities – highly recommended.

TA POK POK = Ballgame. The very first golf course in Cancun, opened its doors in 1976 with an initial design by Robert Trent Jones II, the region is steeped in culture as well as being the first golf course in this location, has a Mayan legacy, the topography encircling the club houses ancient Mayan archaeological jewels.

Built-in a marvellous territory encircled by the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupte Lagoon. The course has five holes alongside the Nichupte lagoon where you can see exhilarating sunsets and two spectacular holes from Isla Mujeres admiring the Caribbean Sea where you can see in all its splendour.

The facilities are accompanied by a driving range, two practise greens and a proshop where you can find essentials to play from balls and gloves to shoes and equipment rentals.

This wonderful resort course at Pok Ta Pok hosts a variety of golf tournaments throughout the year and it is just a few steps away from your hotel in Cancun. The layout, which includes holes on the lagoon and on the ocean is one of the more picturesque courses in the Yucatan.
