Siam Country Club

Siam Country Club is one of the most respected names in the Pattaya golf region, offering 27 holes of modern yet challenging 27-golf. The course was first opened in 2008 and was designed by the golf course architect, Lee Schmidt. This stunning championship course enjoys the same world-class standards that have made this tremendous Country Club such a desirable name,  this course has been used for some major events such as the Honda LPGA Classic and continues to make a name for itself.

Siam Country Club Old Course is among the most internationally known golf courses in Thailand. Originally designed by Japanese architect Ichisuke Izumi, the Siam Country Club was the country’s second Golf club when it launched in 1970. In those days, the course was characterised by heavily sculpted greens, large irregular shaped trees, and gentle bunkering.

The Old Course was closed for major redesign by the Americans Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley in 2006-2007. On most holes, the original route remained intact, while all aspects of the course were modernised and brought to the standard of the worldwide championship courses.

The 7.162 yards, par-72 Old Course Championship course is situated in the low hills just a few kilometres from Pattaya and incorporates more than its fair share of mature trees, shrubs, and plants. Numerous different flowering and fruit trees on the course give one the impression of being in the botanic gardens or orchard, especially in season. The plentiful ‘wildlife’ in the form of textured bushes and hedgerows is a distinguishing trait of the world-class resort

The clubhouse is still the initial framework, dated back to the 1970’s, with large facelifts from the inside to brighten up the facilities. It sits high and overlooks the Old Course and the valley beyond.

The Country Club’s Old Course itself is indeed one of the best in Asia and should be on every golfer’s bucket list of courses to be played.
