The second championship to open at Gloria Golf Resort was the the New and again designed as its sister course was by the French golf course designer Frenchman Michel Gayon. The course opened in 2005 and has similarities to the Old course in that it is also tree-lined with undulating and testing fairways.
The stand out hole on the new course is the 17th, not dissimilar to the famous Sawgrass hole with an island green all of its own, watch out for the wind direction to keep the ball from getting wet.
Gloria Golf resort has hosted many European Tour events and the very last one in 2007 was in fact hosted by the New course.
