National at Championsgate
The National golf course is the second of Greg Normans great courses here at Championsgate, not as long as its big brother the National still measures over 7,000 yards from the back black tees, this course is slightly more forgiving for the average golfers having four sets of tee boxes to choose from. This Parkland style American course has GPS on all buggies, the course winds its way through secluded woods, wetland, and former orange groves. A great golf course that is in complete contrast to the links-style of the International. Highly recommended for golfers all of the abilities.
The National Course is a traditional American-style design that rolls across 200 acres of southern forest and wetlands. Unique bunkering, tree-lined fairways and fascinating green designs characterise the difficulty of scoring well. In particular, golfers are able to memorize the National for evaluating the par 3 holes and the double green shared by the 4 & 16 holes.
The ChampionsGate Golf Club in Orlando is home to both national and international golf courses. Greg Norman constructed both of the 36-hole’s on offer over two very distinct and different tests to give golfers a combination of tradition and modernity and to create a special golf experience.
