Built on the ruins of a 16th-century sugar mill and signature aquaduct the ruins very are much prominent on the golf course and are a constant reminder of the History behind Jamaica’s great past.
This Championship standard golf course is one of the Caribbean’s best golf courses and is located just a fifteen minutes drive from the Sangster (Montego Bay)International airport.
The golf course is a popular choice and was for many years the second home for Johhny Cash where he lived in Cinnamon Hill Great House for nearly 30 years with June Carter.
Designed by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril, the golf course has many elevations that give the impression of both coastal and tropical inland golf at the same time. Playing here you will experience cool ocean spray on the back on the wind whistling through the Pine Trees and across the course.
Cinnamon Hilf is steeped in history and the second hole is a great example with the historic Rose Hall Great House in front of you. The 15th Hole is the site of a gentle waterfall made famous by an exciting scene from the James Bond Classic “Live & Let Die”.
With three sets of tees, the golf course invites golfers of all abilities to play and enjoy which in some opinions in the best golf course on the island. If you are brave enough why not try the back tees measuring some 6637 yards.
