Half Moon Golf Course
The North Coast of Jamaica is the site for a triangle of fantastic golf courses and the most popular is the Half Moon Golf Course.
Yet another great golf course from the Robert Trent Jones Snr Portfolio, this 18 hole championship golf course opened its doors in 1962, one of the first true championship golf courses in the Caribbean.
Roger Rulewich came in and modernized the golf course by removing non-native trees renovated the bunkers and expanded serval for the greens. This entire process took on new re-routing through a retired sugar cane estate. It is a bow-tie classic layout with multiple sets of tees, so the more accomplished golfers will tee-off from the back tees some 7,120 yards from the tips, yet golfers of all abilities will feel comfortable at its ; length and playability as a golf course.
The Half Moon sits just five minutes away from the other two great courses over at Rose Hall in the White Witch and Cinnamon Hill and has so many accolades, it has hosted the Jamaican Open on no fewer than 12 occasions and has also hosted the European PGA Seniors Tour.
Constant tradewinds mixed in with 26 shallow -faced bunkers add to the test of par here, when playing here you always know where you are going and what club to use next, as they have some fantastically knowledgeable caddies on hand to make this an even better golf experience than you ever imagined it to be.
