Education City Golf Club

Education City Golf Club is the newest golf course to open in Qatar and is the second grass course alongside the Doha Golf Club.  The Design of this fantastic golf club was by Spanish European Tour Golfer Jose-Maria Olazabal, and 2020 saw it take its place of honour, by becoming a European Tour Venue and hosted the 2020 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in March 2020.

This brand new concept in golf has 33 holes with an 18 championship course, and an additional two golf courses of 9 and 6. The golf course has been designed to USGA standards that the greens and all green areas on the golf course so tee-boxes and fairways.

Olazabal has designed the 18 Hole Championship Course with natural beauty in mind with the first few holes leading up to an ancient Wadi wall. Through numerous holes on both the front and back nines, a riverbed themed feature occurs and is strategically in play, making each hole even more testing. The longest hole on the golf course is the 593-yard par-five 6th hole and surprisingly is only rates as stroke index 13.

The nine-hole course here is great for your short game as it is a par three course, watch out for the green s they are always immaculately cut.

The 6 Hole course is also a Championship course and is a great test for those who want to play 18+ holes and weather perfect all-year-around who can blame you.

The clubhouse here is extensive with space for conferences and events, an extensive fully pro-shop with Trackman data performance system key to improving the weaker areas of your game. There are also Swing Studio, The Putting Lab, and the fitting shop.  PGA qualified professionals are also on-hand for your every need from equipment through to instruction of all kinds.
