The mid-nineties that saw the Middle East first opened a grass golf course, Designed by Peter Harradine, the Doha Golf Club first opened its doors in 1997.  Located just 40 minutes drive from the Hamad International (Doha airport) airport and only 15 minutes from downtown Doha.

The main 18 hole golf course measures an incredible 7,374 yards from the back tees with over 10,000 green trees and shrubs and an additional 65 giant cacti (flown in from Arizona’s deserts to create this golfing oasis. An additional 9 hole course was later added which add 2,808 yards making a great 27 hole test.

This fantastic golf course has been a European Tour Venue and held the Qatar Masters (Now The Commerical Bank Qatar Masters) between 1998 – 2019. The brand new Education City golf course held the event in March 2020. It was the last Tournament held before the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown.

Other facilities here include an extensive golf clubhouse with a fully equipped pro-shop and driving range.

Within the golf club’s grounds is the Doha Sports Park, a multi-sports functional facility with numerous top-grade sports pitches and the home to the Qatar Golf Academy.

On-site is also the Spikes Restaurant and Oasis Bar Restaurants fully operational effective 01 July 2020.

The golf clubhouse can accommodate large groups and Tournaments, whether it is for business or pleasure; it is an ideal venue just the same.

With great proximity to the city centre and the Pearl Qatar, a popular golf course is an Arabic experience second-to-none.
