Playing The Links at Fancourt

The Links offers a contrasting round to Fancourt’s parkland courses. Created on a former airfield, its sculpted dunes, undulating ground and links-style design draw on the courses of the British Isles, with the Outeniqua Mountains providing a distinctly South African backdrop.

Gary Player and his design team transformed the site into a demanding inland links course. Careful positioning, judgement around the greens and adapting to the conditions are central to the experience. Choose tees suited to your game rather than treating the championship distance as the default.

The course hosted the 2003 Presidents Cup, when the United States and International teams shared the trophy after a 17–17 tie, and the 2005 South African Airways Open Championship.

A round on The Links needs a separately confirmed booking. Tell us early if it is essential to your holiday so we can check eligible accommodation, applicable stay requirements, tee-time availability and the price.

A general Fancourt stay-and-play package does not automatically include The Links. Your quote must name this course and confirm the round, together with any required handicap documentation, caddie or cart arrangements and additional charges.

The nine-hole Links Experience is a separate course and should not be confused with The Links when comparing packages.

The Links is an 18-hole, par-73 course. The headline figures use the black tees: 6,930 metres, approximately 7,579 yards, with a men’s slope rating of 149. Other tees provide different distances and ratings.
