Pinnacle Point Golf Course

Pinnacle Point is in the middle of the Garden Route, between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town

Since its opening, the Pinnacle Point Golf Course (2006) has consistently been ranked among the top 20 golf courses in South Africa and The Open’s 2011 winner, Darren Clarke, has described Pinnacle Point as ‘the best golf course in the world.’

The Championship standard Golf Course at Mossel Bay is about as spectacular as a golf course can be, clinging on to the cliffs overlooking the southern ocean. This Peter Matkovich design in conjunction with Darren Clarke opened its doors in November 2006 and is stunning from many many points across the course.

There are 7 holes hole which run parallel to the Indian Ocean rock cliffs four of them played over rock and Ocean. The golf course has recently won accolades for its service and overall experience, from the Compleat Golfer 5 star Experience Awards.

Fairways often wind ‘threateningly’ tight to the rocks, and the perspectives from the high-lying fairways and tees are simply exceptional. Seven of the holes run along the coast and you shot over the cliffs on four of the holes confronting you. The only water in play is that of the Indian Ocean. It’s gorgeous and remarkable and it’s unlikely there will be a better golf experience anywhere on the globe.

Pinnacle Point is as the name says a Pinnacle in golf experience and one you just cannot afford to miss.

An incredible Five Star experience is to be had here, and the course is certainly one of the “must-plays” for any golfer. A true bucket list golfing experience.
