Miller Course at Turnberry Isle

At the Turnberry Isle Resort in Miami Florida, Players have two different courses from which to choose: the shorter and more approachable Miller Course and the someday-to-be-world-famous Soffer Course. While Soffer is really a lot more flashy than the Miller, the Miller Course is by no means a golf course that you will consider to be straightforwards.

Donald Soffer decided back in the mid-1960’s he wanted two prestigious golf courses to be built, he chose none other than the famous Robert Trent Jones Snr to design both golf courses to great acclaim and made them two of the most famous golf courses in North America. In 2006 Turnberry isle decided than an overhaul and re-design of both golf courses was called for, the job for the re-design went to PGA Champion and golfing idol Ray Floyd who added his ideas, with additional contouring of the fairways and an additional of a first-class drainage system. The Miller course alongside its is sister today provides two of the greatest tests of golf in North America, two not to be missed!

Just like the Soffer Course, The Miller is very much out of place in this portion of Florida; it’s probably isn’t what you’d expect to encounter in this part of the country. The greenery is luscious and vibrant, and the seabirds are friendly. Swans actually seem to be posing for the camera. Pink flamingos live on a man-made island, specifically developed as their nesting sites. There are a lot of bridges with all the water; made from wood bridges that actually add to the architecture.

If you’re scheduled to play both of these courses, this is the one you want to play first. It’s a fantastic warm-up for the Soffer Course
