PGA National The Squire
Labeled after the omnipotent and omniscient Gene Sarazen, the very first golfer to ever win the professional Grand Slam, the “thinking man’s course” is the greatest challenge of precision and finesse. Constructed by Tom and George Fazio, The Squire is the shortest and most artful course at the PGA National Resort. The precision with fairway woods and long irons will be tested on several tees, and the newly designed “Emerald Bermuda” greens require accurate approach shots. Several doglegs should provide a risk/reward incentive for the longer hitters in the group. The championship design is blessed with natural areas swarming with plants and animals – the 5th hole even passes along part of the wilderness reserve bordering the west side of the PGA National.
Not too far from Palm Beach Gardens, PGA National Resort & Spa-the fantastic golf course provides spectacular views and stimulating play for golfers at every degree of proficiency. Excellently-groomed fairways and greens, PGA National Resort & Spa-The Squire is challenging yet enjoyable.
As home to the PGA of America, visitors should anticipate nothing less than perfection at the PGA National Resort, and you will not be disappointed. The most famous golf course on-site is inevitably The Champion, generally considered as being one of the best golf courses in the United States, The championship layout as hosted the Ryder Cup and the PGA Championship, along with being home to the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic annually. The other three championship golf courses on the resort, The Fazio, The Palmer, and The Estate, are marvelous in their very own right also.
