River Walk Golf Club
Riverwalk Golf Club encompasses three nine-hole layouts that can be combined in a variety of ways to create a unique and challenging experience every time you play. Each hole was meticulously designed by Ted Robinson, taking in the natural landscape not to spoil what nature has to offer. Highly recommended and in a great location central to downtown San Diego.
Riverwalk Golf Club, deeply embedded with a rich history of past golf legends, represents a classic golf experience like nothing else. The course, previously identified as the Stardust Country Club, attracted a multitude of golf icons during the 50s and 60s while featuring on the PGA tour. Today, at the newly resurrected Riverwalk, golfers will once again be welcomed to the challenge and intrigue of the original course. What once was flat today boasts undulating fairways, waterfalls and very well-protected bentgrass greens. With a stunning waterfall circling the green of the signature hole, water comes into play on 13 of the 27 holes. A striking characteristic of the architecture is the San Diego River, which adds to the beauty of this wonderful and charming golf course that was designed in the golden ages of golf course architecture.
Located in the Mission Valley of San Diego on the hotel circle, this golf course currently has three nine-hole loops. The Mission nine is fairly short, but on five holes it has water in play and is absolutely incredible. The Friars nine is higher up on the land, contains more wind exposure, and has its holes running almost parallel to OB on most holes’ left side, but less water in the way.
This fantastic 27 hole golf complex is very well renowned and is one of our very top hidden gems in California.
