Royal Westmoreland Golf in Barbados
Royal Westmoreland is known as one of the best golf courses in the Caribbean, this 18-hole championship Robert Trent Jones Jnr golf course, measuring 6,870 yards, is one of the longest around. The layout is sheer perfection, testing each golfing ability. Every hole allows the golfer a vista of the surrounding sea views, as you wind your way around this stunning golf course in Barbados.
Every hole on Royal Westmoreland has stunning Caribbean sea views, incredibly manicured fairways and greens undulating and requiring complete concentration.
Ian Woosnam is a resident on the course and has often said that the course has some of the best par threes that he has ever played. Not a bad accolade from the former green jacket legend.
With its memorable 18th hole you would be forgiven for momentarily getting distracted by its breathtaking views.
The golf course is as exhilarating as it is demanding. You can encounter a combination of challenging holes, the standout being the Par 3’s hallmark set. Ensure that any cases of the shanks are kept hidden if you’re partial to the odd hosel rocket, the local animals and wildlife will be watching!
Our signature hole is the 7th, a mid-length par 3 with water in play for anything hit short. At just over 150 yards of carry make sure that you check the wind and make sure that you have enough club to reach the narrow putting surface guarded by three bunkers. This green is a tricky green to read also. with gentle and subtle contours. Par is a great score.
We recommend pairing this course with a trip to the exclusive Tom Fazio designed Green Monkey Golf Course.
