Springfield Royal Country club gives it its full name is another classic from the legendary Jack Nicklaus Portfolio. Originally designed the original 18 holes opened back in 1993. 2005 was when Jack Nicklaus added the additional 9 holes bringing more quality, making 27 holes of challenging golf in a region that is rife with greats all of their own. The pick-of-the-bunch Springfield certainly is not a course to be missed!

This championship course featured the Thailand Open and several other championships, so be advised, it’s not for the lightheaded-hearted to play from the black tees.

Nicklaus doesn’t let you drop your guard for a moment, so the accuracy with every hole is vitally important to avoid massive bunkers, ample water hazards and tricky thick rough with mature trees added to the obstacles to avoid. The golf course offers exceptional value for money, considering the quality of the course design. It continues to remain a pleasurable challenge for golfers of all standards with five tees to choose from. Many golfers advise trying to play the A and C course sections to get the best of both the old and the new design.

In addition to the course, Springfield Royal Golf Club offers other amenities. The clubhouse was a top-class in its day. Now it’s due to a renovation, but it’s still of great quality. Located in an advantageous platform, the views from the top floor make a lasting impression. The decor is mostly finished in marble tile & granite and depicts a sense of extravagance associated with grand palaces. Changing rooms even have a bar inside the locker rooms. Knowledgeable caddies, who are also well trained, also add to the pleasure of playing at Springfield.
