Golf Holidays in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai offers an entirely different side of Thailand golf. Set in the northern mountains, the region blends cool air, forested hillsides and a calmer pace than the coastal resorts. Chiang Mai golf holidays appeal to golfers who want scenery, culture and strong layouts without the humidity of the south. Highlands, Alpine and North Hill are the standouts and each sits within easy reach of the old city.

Why Golfers Choose Chiang Mai

The region delivers cooler mornings, dramatic elevation changes and a quieter style of Thailand golf break. Chiang Mai Highlands leads the way with 27 superb holes across rolling hills. Alpine Golf Resort sits in a natural valley framed by forest and long mountain views, while North Hill offers a modern championship layout close to the city. It’s ideal for golfers who want strong conditioning, characterful terrain and a more relaxed atmosphere than Bangkok or Pattaya.

The Style of the Destination

Expect temples, night bazaars, misty mornings and mountain horizons in every direction. Chiang Mai’s old city has a slower rhythm than the south, with traditional markets, historic districts and craft villages dotted around the valley. Between rounds you can explore Doi Suthep Temple, relax in the cafés of Nimmanhaemin Road or take in the evening street markets.
