Situated in Alcantarilha in the central Algarve, Amendoeira Golf Resort offers a tranquil, secluded setting away from the busiest coastal resorts. Located around 40 to 50 minutes from Faro Airport, it serves as an incredibly convenient and high-quality base for a Portuguese golf holiday.

The resort provides an exceptional range of self-catering properties. Guests can choose from modern two-bedroom apartments and duplexes with access to well-maintained communal swimming pools, or upgrade to spacious three-, four-, and five-bedroom villas that feature their own private pools and landscaped gardens. Every unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounges, and outdoor furniture perfect for enjoying the Algarve evenings.

While the apartments and villas are fully set up for self-catering, the resort’s spectacular Clubhouse is the central hub for dining. What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 4:00 PM, and check-out is required by 10:00 AM, which is slightly earlier than standard hotels.

Is a buggy required for the golf courses?

While you can walk the O’Connor Jnr. course, a buggy is highly recommended for the Faldo Course due to its challenging, hilly terrain and considerable length. Many of our packages include shared buggies.

Are there practice facilities?

Yes, the resort features a state-of-the-art Golf Academy. It includes a large driving range, practice putting greens, and high-tech tracking equipment like TrackMan for swing analysis.

Does the resort have an airport shuttle?

We recommend booking our private transfer service or hiring a car for the 45-minute journey from Faro Airport to the resort. While on-site, a complimentary shuttle service operates within the resort to help you get from your accommodation to the Clubhouse.

Golf: The resort features two 18-hole championship courses (the Faldo Course and the O’Connor Jnr. Course). It also boasts the only floodlit 9-hole par-3 Academy Course in Portugal, allowing for night golf. For practice, there is a state-of-the-art Golf Academy with a driving range, putting greens, and a short game area.
Sports & Fitness: The Amendoeira Sports Club includes a fully equipped gym, six tennis courts, two padel courts, a FIFA-standard football pitch, two five-a-side football pitches, and a 1km scenic jogging trail.
Swimming Pools: Guests have access to two shared outdoor swimming pools, which include a children’s pool and a sunbathing terrace.Dining: The Clubhouse sits at the heart of the resort and features a large restaurant, a lounge bar, and an outdoor terrace. There is also a Sports Bar serving light snacks and drinks from March to October.
Family Amenities: Children can enjoy a dedicated playground and the Amendoeira Kidz Club, which provides arts, crafts, and games during the summer months.
Convenience & Services: The resort offers 24-hour security, an on-site grocery shop, a pro shop, a shuttle service within the resort, and a seasonal daily shuttle to the nearby Armação de Pêra beach.
