HERON BAY GOLF CLUB IS PRESENTLY CLOSED FOR THE 2020 GOLF SEASON

A Previous host of the PGA Tour’s Honda Classic, the Heron Bay Golf Club is a four-star  Mark McCumber design originally developed on 210 verdant acres on the tip of the everglades. By using the natural routing of the land McCumber and Associates used sand and water to guide golfers around the design, without attempting to make the hazards overly penal. Trees hardly ever come to play.

Located 25 minutes northwest of Fort Lauderdale the Heron Bay golf club has been chosen in the past by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine as one of the “Top Places to Play” in Florida. This superb championship layout has a gently rolling terrain bordered by a network of lakes and wetlands, over 100 bunkers, 83 different tee positions, and fast, elevated, undulating greens. Heron Bay also features one of the country’s finest driving ranges which is lighted for nighttime practice.

The landscape is generally flat and the encircling wetlands and water hazards are not extensively in play, making this a playable round for golfers of any kind of level. A good bunker game will definitely help keep scores low. This course was featured on the PGA Tour Honda Classic (1997-2002)
