Located just 10 miles from central Myrtle Beach you will find the fantastic Legends Golf Resort. This self-contained Resort has five golf courses, three on-site, one in South Carolina and one just over the border. The resort has been designed in a Scottish Links style with a typical golf clubhouse and famous Ailsa Pub all akin to the Scottish traditions and styling. The on-site golf courses comprise of three very different tests of golf.

Tom Doak’s Heathland course at Legends Resort showcases some of the best raw architectural qualities in Myrtle Beach and brags more elevation and terrain changes than most of the area’s courses.

The three are Moorland, which is like the Scottish Moorland courses with wide-open fairways and large undulating greens guarded by deep fine sand bunkers.

The Heathland is a flatter course with strategically placed Heather, keep away from errant drives, and your round will be more enjoyable.

The Parkland course is the tightest with tree-lined fairways and plenty of lakes guarding the smaller yet more difficult greens.

The Heritage golf course is located 30 miles south on the outskirts of Pawleys island. The Heritage Club has been carved out of 600 acres of natural wooded countryside, marshland, with an avenue of 300-year-old Oaks leading up to the Southern Colonial style clubhouse overlooking the Waccamaw River.

The last by no means least is the fantastic Oyster Bay Links, located just 35 miles north just over the North Carolina border. This par 70 18 hole championship is a gem of a golf course, at only over 6,700 yards, built by famous designer Dan Maples from marshland it has two island greens the 17th the better one, a great course surrounded by freshwater lakes and the odd Croc or three.
