Golf where golf is King – The Kings North golf course at Myrtle Beach National Golf Club. This Arnold Palmer design was initially constructed in 1973, but the course had a full facelift in 1996. Unveiling a resort-style layout that has managed to remain one of the most interesting in Myrtle Beach.

The spectacular 7,000-yard-plus design includes its fair share of water, such as enclosing the iconic island fairway on the par-5 sixth hole, affectionately named “The Gambler.” Hole No. 12 is also very well recognised by many golfers for its island green and South Carolina state-shaped bunkers. And the 18th hole, guarded by more than 40 sand bunkers, is undoubtedly one to be conquered.

One of America’s most visibly exciting and challenging courses, Arnold Palmer created what so many consider to be the best course on the Grand Strand … King’s North. Palmer’s stunning “signature course” showcases some of the most spectacular and unusual holes in golf.

Crenshaw Bentgrass greens strengthen this gorgeous par 72 course which plays 7017 yards from the Championship Tees. One of the most talked-about and played golf courses in Myrtle Beach, King’s North must be on everyone’s must-play list. Check out the “SC” shaped bunkers found along the 12th hole of the Par-3 island green.

Understanding that location matters, this course is a short jaunt from where you’re staying, whether that’s Myrtle Beach or North Myrtle Beach. In relation, the course was recently listed on Golf Digest’s esteemed list of “America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses,” “Places to Play” and obtained a 4.5-star rating.
