The additional tourist attractions range from the Valley of a Thousand Hills, Shakaland – Zula village, the famous battlefield sites such as Rorke’s Drift and South Africa’s highest Mountain range the Drakensberg Mountains, a gateway to Zululand and Drakensburg itself.
There are also great places of interest for numerous reasons and the area immediately adjacent to Durban has some great beach resorts with its "Golden Mile" of sandy beaches and promenade. A highly recommended and place of interest to stay in the small beachside town of Umhlanga rocks
The area enjoys a sub-tropical climate with the best months to visit is April through October, the remaining months enjoy higher temperatures and with it higher levels of rainfall.
South Africa is the Rainbow Nation and Durban is certainly unspoiled and for many undiscovered and is as far as we are concerned one of South Africa's jewels for Golf and Tourist travel.
