Myrtlewood Golf Club
Golfers have indeed been flocking to the Palmetto Course in Myrtle Beach since its grand opening in September 2019.
The prominence of the Palmetto Course work was hardly surprising considering the impact of a similar project on the PineHills Course in 2017. The Founders Group International, set up Sunday Bermuda at PineHills which is nothing short of phenomenal.
PineHills showcased smooth, fast-moving surfaces in the aftermath of an effort that also saw the course’s bunkers redeveloped.
Before the renovation work on both courses, Myrtlewood Golf Club & Myrtlewood Villas were a favourite of locals and travelling golfers. The property is set along the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway in the core of Myrtle Beach.
The masterful use of mounding and strategic location of water hazards creates the classic golf course of brilliantly textured fairways. Known colloquially as “The Pines”, it was reconfigured by Arthur Hills.
Myrtlewood’s Palmetto Golf Course has a traditional approach that provides soft sloping fairways with various hazards, bunkers and large, subtly elongated greens. Ranked among the top as one of the top replay courses along the Grand Strand.
The two courses on-site at the Myrtlewood Golf Villas are both of a very high standard and an excellent base for any golf holiday to Myrtle Beach.
