Innisbrook Copperhead Golf Course

The Copperhead is home to the Valspar Championship and a must-play golf course when in the area. Tee times are limited so we would advise booking your tee time early. Golf breaks at the excellent Innisbrook Resort are a fantastic experience and really provides a taste of life on the tour.

Florida has many great golf courses and to witness one of the best then a golf trip to Innisbrook is called for, and a round on the famous Copperhead golf course. The Copperhead Innisbrook Course is now rated as one of the best in Florida and is now the annual home event on the PGA Tour and for the Valspar Championship played there every March.

Course Overview and Layout

The course is the main course of the four designed by Larry Packard and is a favourite for everyone that stays and play at the resort. Copperhead has many changes in elevation making approach shots sometimes downhill and sometimes uphill depending on the hole.

These courses do not really concentrate on the spectacular, but rather fixate on a pure golf test. Innisbrook is effectively one of Florida’s finest public golf courses and extraordinary resort experience. Although this course is not all that scenic, it’s the kind of design in which you can play over and over again and never get bored of it.

PGA Golf Tour Events at Innisbrook

Home to the Valspar Championship during the PGA Tour’s Florida swing in March each year, the Copperhead course at Innisbrook has always been the permanent fixture for the PGA Tour for the last 25 years.

The Copperhead course is the most admired of the four golf courses found at the legendary resort, and undoubtedly the most difficult. Home of the famous “Snake Pit,” the closing holes at Copperhead have generally been known as three of the hardest final holes on the PGA Tour, with the 16th hole injecting the most venom.
