Innisbrook Resort – South Course

At just over 6,600 yards, Innisbrook’s South course is reminiscent of a links-style design, both in terms of steep slopes and multiple bunkers on the generous fairways. Multiple waste bunkers, a total of 10 water hazards, rippling terrain, and breezes from the Gulf of Mexico all combine to make South another great challenge for Innisbrook.

The South Course is unusual in that the central holes-numbers 5 through 13 are links-style, with the remainder holes more of a conventional design, including fairways lined with trees and multiple water hazards. Plentiful wildlife is found in the nearby lakes, rivers, and marshlands, including fox squirrels, Canadian geese, alligators, raccoons, blue herons, cranes, and several other waterfowl types. In order to support the natural ecosystems of these animals, which are abundant throughout the 1100 acres, the courses at this luxurious resort were created.

The South Course is a popular layout at this resort as it offers a great range of designs, and probably the best wildlife viewing chances. The grounds and landscaping are completely stunning throughout the Highlands-and this is the case all throughout the entire Innisbrook Resort property.
Designed by Larry & Roger Packard, Highlands South Course at Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club measures 6620 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 125.
