Grayhawk Resort has two championship golf courses, the Raptor course measures 7,151 yards from the back tee so long hitters should have fun here. Accuracy off the tee is paramount especially off the first that has bunkers guarding both sides of the fairway. With an elevated green guarded by a deep bunker, the first makes life interesting. Grayhawk is a good test for golfers of all abilities with five tee boxes ensuring everyone has a fair chance to experience all that the Raptor course has to offer.

Grayhawk Golf Club was founded in 1994 and has two par-72 golf courses, Talon and Raptor, which are generally considered to be among the best golf courses in Scottsdale. The golf courses differ in layout, but for each, the level of play meets the highest standards of conditioning and design consistent with true championship-calibre golf. Both have, in fact, organised international tournaments at the highest professional and amateur golf levels.

The Raptor was designed by Tom Fazio and features generous fairways with ample arroyo crossings that lead to sprawling, undulating, and mostly elevated green complexes over a rolling desert landscape. Tightly mowed areas of collections are designed to measure even the short game of experienced golfers. There are 2 holes in play with water hazards, and golfers may have to navigate the approximately 57 sand bunkers positioned off the tee, or situated greenside, near the landing zones.
