Grayhawk Talon Golf Course

Grayhawk Golf Club was founded in 1994 and has two par-72 golf courses, Talon and Raptor, which are typically acknowledged to be among the best golf courses in Scottsdale. The golf courses vary significantly, but for each, the level of play reaches the rigorous quality of conditioning and layout synonymous with genuine championship-caliber golf. Both have, in fact, organised international tournaments at the highest professional and amateur golf levels.

The resort has two great courses featured here, in the Raptor and Talon, our preferred favorite is the Talon. The Grayhawk Talon Golf course measures just shy of 7,000 yards from the back tees and winds its way through the Sonoran Desert, and is considered one of the most exciting and dramatic tests of golf in the Southwest, USA.

Providing breath-taking views of the McDowell Mountains, and fantastic vistas of the Pheonix and Scottsdale skylines. The back nine are built around a series of deep box canyons with thick stands of Ironwood, Mesquite and Palo Verde trees. The vantage point, of the tee boxes, creates the impression of the holes being much tighter than they actually are, therefore the accuracy of the tee is very much paramount.

Playing here golfers get the impression the course is easier than its first looks, but, for many, it makes no difference as playing on a golf course that emits this much natural beauty has always been more than a complete pleasure.
