With numerous changes in elevation, more than 300 bunkers, dry desert washes, stands of desert trees, and a variety of water hazards the Kierland is a good test of golf whatever your standard. The 19,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring the Brittlebush Bar & Grill is worth a mention as are the air-conditioned golf carts.

The golf experience at Kierland allows all types of players to experience excellent conditions on a top-quality golf course, with magnificent views of the desert mountains and resort estate. Along neatly trimmed rolling fairways, all three nines have large landing areas off the tee, with 300 sand bunkers located greenside or situated along the moguled mounding. Some of these bunkers are high-lipped and punishing in nature, especially those located on the sides of the fairways. Land off the tee in them and par is a tough deal. Greenside recoveries are far more likely from the sand traps, grass swales, or storage areas, as the large putting surfaces are mild in curvature.
