We-Ko-Pa is in Fort McDowell, a 36-hole upper-end public facility situated 30 miles northeast of Phoenix. The facility initially opened with the design of Scott Miller (Cholla) in 2001 and followed that up with the 2006 creation of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw (Saguaro)

When planning to visit the Scottsdale area, We-Ko-Pa is a perfect location that should not be missed. With the Cholla although Scott Miller does not have the same national exposure as Coore and Crenshaw, next to its more celebrated neighbour, his Cholla design stands tall.

The two fantastic golf courses on-site. The Cholla and Saguaro courses were built to provide a challenging round from the back tees. However, the multiple tee boxes that are well-spaced cater to players of all handicaps, enabling most standards of golfer the opportunity to enjoy these beautiful courses in Scottsdale, USA. Also, there are no – nor will there ever be – housing on the golf course. With some of the most dramatic and natural views of the surrounding mountain ranges including the Four Peaks, McDowell, Red, and Superstitions range. One of the most outstanding and enjoyable golf resorts in the whole of the Southwest.

While Saguaro went old school with the links approach, Cholla is a game of more target golf influenced theme that prefers greens spilling into neighbouring tees to create a superior walking experience.
