Review of Arthur Hills at Palmetto Dunes

The Hills course at Palmetto Dunes has long been regarded as one of South Carolina’s most unique golf course layouts. Hills has taken the Lowcountry’s natural landscape and used it to his advantage of creating a second-to-none golf experience. The use of the ocean breezes makes a difference each time you play it.

The Hills course offers off-balance lies and cool breezes and enormous wetlands winding through 10 holes. With the network of natural lagoons, marshland no less than 10 of the holes involve water use in some way or form.

Shot making is essential here with accuracy off the tee imperative, where the ball lies for your second shot is not always on even ground with a perfect lie. Errant tee shots may find you in some of the Dunes that scatter across the golf course making around here ever memorable and testing. Voted recently in the Top 30 Courses you can play in South Carolina, a great, fair and real test of golf every time. Another excellent example of Hills work and another bucket-list course conquered!
