The Robert Cupp Course at Palmetto Hall is one of Cupp’s best designs, it plays just under 7080 yards from the back tee and is one of the most stringent tests on the island. One of the most visually challenging courses the Cupp course has some cleverly placed sand traps, there are four sets of tees to choose from therefore a course designed to be enjoyed by golfers of all abilities.

The Robert Cupp course is a strikingly original design that validates a better player and satisfies higher handicaps.
Cupp, the former Golf World designer of the Year, launched his signature course at Palmetto Hall in 1993, The Robert Cupp Course at Palmetto Hall on Hilton Head Island had the greatest slope rating from the Championship tees (152) of any course in the state. However, this honour has since been awarded on Pete Dye and the Ocean Course at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort – which comes in at the USGA max of 155.

Notwithstanding this difficult rating from the black tees, the course remains highly praised for its versatility, good shot values, and immaculate year-round conditioning.

Palmetto Hall Plantation Club showcases 36 holes of lush green golf immersed in southern sophistication and beautifully natural. It’s a must-play with every golfer. The two courses developed by Arthur Hills and Robert Cupp are prime assets for celebrating the real Hilton Head encounter.
